DATABASE DOWNLOAD

Data was collected during a class-based research project in 2020. The data consists of 141 historical markers drawn from the OTIC’s Historical Marker Map.Our analysis included all sites listed on the OTIC website as of September 2020, including Oregon Trail Interpretive Sites and Historical Marker Sites.
For each site we recorded its location, topic(s), sponsors (if any), historical era represented, and marker text. We transposed data to a central database and confirmed sites through site visits and discussions with OTIC staff. Some sites located close to each other were combined for simplicity. You can view this database below by downloading an Excel Spreadsheet or by going to this link to Google Sheets.

Please use the data for research and/or education!
